Caregiver or CNA
Nursing Department

We are seeking an experienced Caregiver or CNA to work part-time (24 hours per week) in our residential facility.
General Information
Caregivers and CNAs are responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, advocating for resident's needs, coordinating care, scheduling appointments and transportation, laundry, housekeeping and working as a team with the RN to manage symptoms and behaviors in our diverse population. Work days and hours are nightshift Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 10:30 pm - 7:00 am and Dayshift Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30AM-3:00PM. Hours may be subject to change depending on the needs of the house. Additional hours may be available filling in for other staff's vacations and/or sick calls.
Qualifications: One year of verifiable experience in a facility setting. CNAs must be in good standing with OSBN. Ability to pass a DHS background check. Two verifiable supervisory employment references. CPR certified or the ability to become so. Experience with HIV, mental illness and substance use is helpful. Ability to work in a harm reduction model. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. A strong work ethic, flexibility, reliability and willingness to work as part of a cohesive team. Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight. Knowledge of transfer techniques and body mechanics.
