Pets On Broadway Fundraiser for Our House
Pets on Broadway is working over-time throughout the month of June to raise money for Our House. All the money raised will will go toward a beautiful fish tank for our residents to enjoy. They're also making pet food donations for our clients with companion pets. You can help their effort by visiting Pets On Broadway and purchasing raffle tickets ($3 for 1 or $5 for 2), each raffle prize is valued at over $1,000! Thank you Pets on Broadway for being such a generous community partner!

Food and Clothing Drive at Cupcake Jones
Our good friends at Cupcake Jones will be collecting non-perishable food and clothing donations for Esther's Pantry and Tod's Corner from June 27th to July 2nd. Bring donations to their Pearl District location Monday through Friday and receive a free mini cupcake, or donate on a Saturday and receive a free large cupcake! Thank you Cupcake Jones for all you do for Our House and our community!

MiNGO has become a Portland favorite for its locally-sourced menu, so you’ll definitely want to join them on their sunny outdoor patio in Beaverton (weather permitting) as they mix it up in this creative and fun venture.

You’ll indulge in a small-plates vegan feast, which includes grilled eggplant with turmeric cashew cream, polenta fries with basil-garlic dipping sauce, a generous seasonal salad, and grilled figs with Vtopia Cheese Shop vegan cheese for dessert. Whether you choose to sit on the deck, near the fire pit, or on their front porch with views of the city, you’ll revel in the July weather with prosecco cocktails, wine, or mixologist-created nonalcoholic drinks while you listen to DJ Al Wright’s lounge global fusion beats.

Enjoy spectacular views of Portland and four mountains as you dine and dance on the oversized decks of this midcentury modern home. Sumptuous summer delights will be prepared by Chef Jason Howd, and Dance Band Marlena Wray will fill the air with ballroom classics. Marlena was called one of the city’s most talented musicians by the Portland Mercury, so if you can’t resist dancing and want a few ballroom pointers, former Arthur Murray instructor George Eighmey will be on hand for coaching. Don’t miss the backyard Japanese garden (by landscape designer Bill Gerber and enhanced by Takashi Fukada), which features an eight-foot waterfall, fish pond, and gazebo, and was featured in a scene from the movie Say Uncle.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to experience a sunset dinner at the Portland Japanese Garden. This extraordinary Garden, considered the finest in the world outside of Japan, serves as the backdrop for an evening you will not soon forget. Already closed for the evening, the Garden will be entirely yours to experience its purest tranquility and beauty. You will begin with a stroll through five garden styles over five and a half acres, on a private tour led by the Portland Japanese Garden’s CEO, Steve Bloom. The tour ends at the Japanese Pavilion, where you will enjoy fine wine and saké while overlooking spectacular views as the summer moon rises over Mount Hood and downtown Portland. A dinner of Asian inspired cuisine will satisfy the palate, and a live Koto performance will ease the mind. The evening would not be complete without tea! A highlight of the evening will be your participation in a Japanese Tea Ceremony led by an authentic Tea Master.
