Asian Dining on A High Note
Hosted by Wayne Miya with Portland State University Opera
30 Guests - $150 per person

Opera lovers, your moment is here! Whether your taste runs to Mozart or Verdi, Puccini or – heck, Gilbert and Sullivan – you are certain to enjoy a unique and memorable night, held at the Beaverton home of Wayne Miya. Wayne will reprise his role as host for the occasion, serving handmade Asian delicacies to perfect the experience. As you enter his home, you’ll pass through a serene foyer filled with palm trees and koi ponds, then sip from a refreshing cocktail. Wayne and his friends will make good use of his kitchen as they prepare an abundant buffet including teriyaki beef, salmon, sushi, and dessert. Before you’ve settled in for the feast, you’ll experience the beauty and dramatic power of sopranos, tenors, and baritones up close, courtesy of Portland State University’s opera department and its Program Director, Christine Meadows. PSU has a 50 year history of staging operas, and has won the National Opera Association Award for multiple productions. In other words, relax, sit back, and enjoy an intimate performance with the best seats in the house!

Vegetarian option available with prior notice.

Spring Equinox Celebration
Hosted by Floral Design Institute's David & Leanne Kesler and Callie DeWolf

Is there anything more exciting than the promise of spring? After a long, wet, cold, gray, depressing winter, join your friends at the Floral Design Institute to chase away the winter blues and celebrate the spring equinox. You’ll be greeted at the door with a glass of bubbly and floral-inspired nibbles (edible flowers – yum!) and then add mood-enhancing chocolates and red wine to the evening’s offerings. You’ll then create beautiful floral crowns that’ll have you dancing under the full moon and welcoming the arrival of spring in true floral style.

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available with prior notice.
