| Sponsored by interior design firm Czopek & Erdenberger, please join your hosts Linda Czopek and Vern Rifer as they show you their collection of northwest contemporary art while enjoying sweeping views of downtown Portland and the South Waterfront District. Watch the tram from their deck and search for bald eagles on Ross Island as you are serenaded by a surprise guest soloist performing “O Mio Babbino Caro”. Enjoy a gourmet Italian feast prepared by Chef Georgia and Sous Chef Linda, with fine Italian wines selected by wine sommelier Vern. We’ll sample dishes hailing from cultures as far flung as northern Africa and the Irkutsk region of Siberia, Thailand to Tierra del Fuego (menu to be determined!) all hand-prepared by Brian using locally grown produce and proteins. Our itinerary begins with a hike up 33 steps to Brian’s house, followed by an internationally inspired cocktail party featuring a slide show of some of the more exotic destinations Brian and Judy have experienced. A sit-down dinner a la the Finnish-built expedition ship Akademik Shokalsky will be the feature of the evening. Come with your favorite travel stories to liven up the conversation. We’ll wrap up with chocolates and coffee, and perhaps a spot of Bailey’s to help warm you on your way home. |
