$38,000-$42,000 Annual

 

Position Summary:

You thrive on excellence and pay attention to the details while working on multiple projects and/or events. You are an integral part of the development team reporting to the Director of Development. You will perform administrative duties related to fundraising, marketing, and communications while also assisting in and leading select fundraising efforts. This includes supporting our Dinner Series, Annual Gala Auction, Annual Fund efforts, and other special events throughout the year. Each of the tasks and responsibilities will be fully supported by the Director of Development and other members of the Our House Team.

 

Qualifications:  The successful applicant will have the following:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of experience in event management/logistics

  2. Excellent computer skills.

  3. Strong working knowledge of database management programs (Raiser’s Edge, Greater Giving or similar).

  4. Must be available for multiple evenings and weekend events throughout the week, and on limited notice.

  5. Strong work ethic and an interest in learning.

  6. Ability to work independently and take direction.

  7. Ability to prioritize and meet multiple strict deadlines.

  8. Ability to work well with diverse groups (volunteers, donors, others) with a variety of backgrounds.

  2. Must demonstrate care and compassion for residents, their families, and others in the workplace.

  3. Must represent Our House to the public in a manner that reflects well on the agency.

  4. Must have a car, valid driver’s license, and insurance.

  5. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

 

Job Duties:  

  1. Assist Director of Development in coordinating, implementing and taking lead on events for Our   House which include but not limited to, Dinner Series, Annual Auction, Anniversary Party, Holiday Party, Pride Parade, and Circle of Friends events.

  2. Provide support for events (scheduling, seating, and communication with hosts and guests.)

  3. Follow-up for each event with thank you and acknowledgment letters. 

  4. Thank and update donors in creative and empowering ways, ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts and regular cultivation touches throughout the year including cards, and phone calls.

  5. Coordinate with Development team to set strategies, manage logistics, and track needs for events.

  6. Provide scheduling and logistics support for Development Department activities.

  7. Attend Development and Our House meetings regularly which include but not limited to, Development Team Meeting, Gala, Dinner Series, Ambassador Council, and Staff meetings.

  8. Ensure thorough stakeholder relationship information is entered into the database in a timely manner.

  9. Coordinate and facilitate tours of the facility.

  10. Generate reports for the department and track data to assist in assessing department efficacy. 

  11. Proactively provide other support as required by the Development Director & Team.

  12. Assist with editing and revising grant applications, campaign materials, and other written pieces.

  13. In collaboration with Director of Development, create, send, and track fundraising campaigns and mailings, including the year-end Holiday Campaign and Spring Campaign

  14. Other duties as assigned. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Event Planning and Productions

  • Highly proficient in storytelling and communicating our organization's mission and impact 

  • Manage complex projects with multiple partners 

  • PC experience; network experience; Windows environment; email; internet

  • Raisers Edge donor software knowledge

  • Greater Giving event software knowledge
