CJ Grub

 

CJ has worked in the healthcare industry for nearly 20 years. He began his career as a CT/MRI Technologist and took on various travel assignments across the nation before eventually transitioning from patient care to the technology side of healthcare. His various roles have specialized in customer success, technology support, sales and management. In 2014, CJ ultimately settled in Portland, Oregon where he sought opportunities to become more involved in the LGBTQ+ community. He currently works as a Customer Success Specialist at Subtle Medical, an artificial intelligence medical software company based out of Menlo Park, California.

 

CJ has served on the Our House Ambasador Council for the last 3 years, most recently holding the position of Treasurer. For the past two years, he has also served on the Junior Board at Cascade Aids Project and currently holds the role of Vice Chair. Additionally, CJ has been volunteering with S.O.S Outreach, where he helps to mentor and empower children in the community by developing lifelong skills through learning to ski and snowboard. Prior to working with Our House, CJ spent three years volunteering with Camp KC for children impacted by HIV/AIDS, most recently as the camp's Assistant Programming Director.

 

CJ is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia and has been living in Portland with his husband for the last 6 years. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, running, wine tasting, discovering new restaurants, attending live music performances, and the many other wonderful things Oregon has to offer.
