Part-time LPN or RN

Overview

A licensed nurse is needed for part-time (24 hours/week) work on the night shift in our residential program. This position is ideal for a nurse who is interested in building empathetic skills, gaining confidence in therapeutic communication and clinical mindfulness.

General Information

Licensed Nurses are responsible for medication administration, direct care, assessments, evaluations, symptom management, advocating for clients, ensuring continuity of care, supervision and support of CNA and caregiver. This position is on-call, filling in for regularly scheduled staff vacations and sick calls. Hours and shifts will vary according to availability. Must be willing and available to work night shifts.

Qualifications

• OSBN licensed

• Current CPR certification

• Open to working with mental illness, substance use and emotional health challenges

• Willingness to work within a model emphasizing harm reduction, community, self-determination and non-violent communication

• Skills in organization, prioritization, initiation, therapeutic communication and collaboration

• Compassionate with strong boundaries

• Basic computer skills

• A strong work ethic, willingness to be flexible and work as part of a cohesive team

• Ability to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight
